10 Healthy Tips You Can Use

August 20th, 2008

Daily Vibrational Balancing

In this post you’re about to discover how important it is to be Vibrationally Balanced on a daily basis, 24/7.

The Daily Vibrational Balancing program uses technology that is based the quantum physics principles of Holograms, Non-Locality and Quantum Teleportation. In other words, sending body friendly Vibrational frequency information to you at a distance (remotely) at the speed of sound.

So wherever you are and whatever you are doing, you are receiving these subtle yet powerful vibrationally balancing frequencies 24/7. Aalways moving your body toward “Balance”. The body works best in this state.

I saw some patients who I hadn’t seen in several years. I speak with them on the phone frequently. They said I looked great, actually ‘younger’ than when I had seen them several years ago. Needless to say I was surprised yet pleased.

I want to share with you some daily things I do so you can employ these ‘Wellness Strategies’ too.

1) Stop eating at 8:00pm (latest). If craving drink Energized water.

2) Wait 12 hours till the next meal. So if you eat dinner at 7:00pm, don’t eat until 7:00am. Creates a ‘mini detoxification’ on a daily basis.

3) Drink at least 3 ounces of Energized Water each hour. Use The Water Band to make energetically dead water come ALIVE.

4) Drink 8 ounces of Energized Water when you wake up. Squeeze a ÂĽ organic lemon in. Helps to detoxify body.

5) Eat 60-80% raw foods. I know this is asking a lot. Raw foods are loaded with enzymes and place very little stress on the digestive system. When you eat cooked foods, it takes your enzymes to digest = aging. It also lowers your Life Force. It loses most of whatever nutritional value it had in the first place. I make my weekly run to Josh’s Organic Market in Hollywood, Fl.

Through testing I see a huge difference between eating cooked and raw foods. There are many books on eating raw foods. Take some time to read them. Implement slowly if needed.

This is a lifestyle change that can really make a difference.

6) Use The Digestion Band to help digestion and elimination as it clears the many imbalances caused by eating. These imbalances over time cause many of today’s degenerative issues!

7) Do yoga or Pliates. These forms of exercise Align your spine and entire body. Being a classically
trained Chiropractor I Know how important that is. I do yoga nightly as it aligns me and quiets my
nervous system for better quality sleep.

8) Circulation - while on the computer place a tennis ball below my feet and rub my entire foot on it.
Really helps with circulation.

9) Talking about computers (and cell phones), I use The EMF Protection Band to strengthen my
energetic and Vibrational body so it can counteract the incoming damaging electro-magnetic radiation. The EMF Protection Band also has balancing effects on the emotions. I wear it all day.

10) Lastly, meditation. Twice daily for 5-10 minutes. Quiets the mind, gets me refocused, and clears me on many levels. Just sit in a straight back chair. Close eyes. Hands on lap with palms up. Just be and allow your mind to go wherever it may. Observe your thoughts.

Your mind will go to wherever needs balancing. Just allow the process. You will see at the end of 5-10 minutes you will be clearer and refreshed. I do this when I first wake up to clear ‘cobwebs’ of sleep and am ready for the day. It really makes a difference.

These are just some things I do on a daily basis. If someone has some thing that they would like to share, please do. I can share them with the group next week. I will keep your name private.

Health and Wellness is a Daily task, Not a once a week or month deal. There are simply too many negative factors coming at us on a daily basis that needs daily attention. That is why I developed the company Vibrational Living. It offers products that keep you in a vibrationally balanced state in the face of the most common stressors.

Daily Vibrational Balancing keeps you moving toward Vibrational balance 24/7. It helps clear
current stress along with chronic and even hereditary stress imbalances.

I hope this was helpful.

Have a great week,

Dr. Karp

Navigating Your Path to Health

August 7th, 2008

Many new cars today are equipped with automotive navigation systems. These systems use satellite technology to locate the car and provide directions to a location of our choice. The directions are often provided by voice prompts, which describe the path to follow in order to reach our destination. Thanks to the wonders of modern science, we receive this information immediately. The voice prompts can also inform us that we have missed a turn or even taken a wrong turn. Again, we obtain this feedback right away. We have, in many ways, become a society of immediacy. We often expect immediate feedback or immediate gratification and anything less is seen as unfulfilling, slow, or outdated.

Now let’s consider navigating our way to a different type of destination, a destination that most of us find vague and elusive. That destination is health. Imagine a health navigation system implanted in our bodies that is capable of directing us toward that goal. Perhaps it would notify us if our dietary choices are a deviation from the path we should follow. Perhaps it would inform us that our lack of exercise or our need for relaxation is thwarting our efforts to reach our ultimate goal. It may provide prompts in its monotone, mediocre, matter-of-fact voice such as, “To arrive at your destination, put that cookie down.” It may also remind us of activities that we have neglected, such as, “You overlooked exercise again today. Engage in physical exercise at the next possible opportunity.”

But alas, there is no health navigation system available at present. So, how can we find and follow our all-important path to health? One such approach makes use of an age-old, antiquated system. That is, we can measure our proximity to destination health by examining how we feel–physically, mentally, and spiritually. Yet, most of us rarely notice the feedback from this system immediately. It may take days, weeks, or even years before we see or feel the effects of our lifestyle choices, positive or negative. We may need to be hit over the head with a hammer before finally hearing the message. Thus, it would be wise to examine if we are listening to what our bodies have to say, while at the same time exploring how we can become better listeners.

One approach to increasing awareness and listening to our bodies is through receiving acupuncture treatment. As an acupuncturist, I am told by many patients that with regular treatment, they become more aware of their bodies and the way in which their bodies communicate with them. Many patients begin to see patterns that were previously not recognizable. These patterns may include vague low back pain due to lack of exercise, constipation during highly stressful situations, abdominal pain related to not expressing emotions constructively, or energy levels that spike and crash as a result of specific dietary habits. Even though patterns such as these may exist for years, many individuals fail to notice the connection. Once they finally choose to slow down and listen to their bodies, they begin to hear the subtle messages.

In many cases, acupuncture can help to treat these imbalances, but in some cases it may not. And when it cannot, most patients find that their problems are far more manageable with the knowledge of specific causative factors. They are pleased to learn that their lifestyle choices can directly affect how they feel, and that by making different lifestyle choices, as difficult as that may be, they can proactively choose to be healthier. I don’t mean to imply that acupuncture is the only approach to increasing awareness and becoming a better listener. There are many such approaches. I believe that receiving massage or practicing meditation can be helpful for this purpose, as well as meditative activities, such as reading, conscious walking, gardening, or yoga. All of these modalities can help us learn to listen to the messages that our bodies are sending, until the day when we have our health navigation system implanted.

Pinpointing a Natural Pain Relief Option

August 7th, 2008

Pain comes in many different shapes and sizes. Pain can rear its ugly head as mild discomfort that “comes and goes” or severe, excruciating agony that takes our breath away. Pain may be completely debilitating, interfering with exercise, work, sleep, and countless other activities or it may be a minor nuisance that doesn’t slow us down at all. It can be the result of a specific incident or it can seemingly come from nowhere. Pain is even described with a wide range of terms, including soreness, aching, tenderness, burning, tightness, or throbbing.

We have all experienced some type of physical pain at one time or another. Yet, even though we all know what pain is, it can still be difficult to actually define. It is usually described as an unpleasant sensory experience and it is incredibly common in our society. Half of all Americans seek medical care for pain each year and it is the most common reason for visiting a doctor.

Despite our disdain for pain, it actually serves a purpose, and a valuable one at that. Pain is part of our body’s defense system and its purpose is to help us avoid harmful behavior. In other words, it’s your body’s way of telling you that it doesn’t like what you are doing and it would prefer that you stop doing it. Sometimes we choose not to listen to that message and other times we have no choice but to hear it and comply.

What are the common approaches for relieving pain? Drugs are very popular for pain relief and they can be very effective. Unfortunately, the adverse effects of numerous drugs have become known in recent years and many of us find the information troubling. Pain relief medications can lead to gastrointestinal complications, liver damage, or kidney reactions. In addition, some pain relief drugs have already been taken off the market because of an increased risk of heart attack or stroke.

Increasingly, people are looking for more natural approaches to help relieve painful conditions. Acupuncture is one natural approach that continues to grow in popularity in the United States. Acupuncture can be helpful for all types of pain, regardless of what is causing the pain or where the pain is located. The theory behind acupuncture and Chinese medicine states that there is an energy that flows through the human body. This energy can become obstructed for a variety of different reasons. When this occurs, the obstruction results in pain or discomfort. This is summed up by the well-known Chinese saying: “If there is pain, there is no free flow; if there is free flow, there is no pain.” The goal with treatment is to clear the obstructions by inserting extremely thin, sterile needles into certain specific points on the body.

From a more scientific point of view, acupuncture has been shown to trigger the release of endorphins and enkephalins, chemicals with pain relieving properties. Other theories propose that acupuncture needles jam the neuronal pathways and prevent pain signals from reaching the brain. The World Health Organization (WHO), in its 2002 report entitled Acupuncture: Review and Analysis of Reports on Controlled Clinic Trials, stated that acupuncture “can be regarded as the method of choice for treating many chronically painful conditions.” This is not to say that acupuncture is a miracle cure for everyone. It is not. But it would be wise for all of us to become educated about available pain relief options, including non-drug options. Armed with this information, we can make informed decisions which are most suitable for our own unique situations.

Take Time to Smell the Roses

August 6th, 2008

How many times have you heard that phrase,” take time to smell the roses”? And how often do you stop and smell the roses or listen to the birds sing? In our hectic lifestyles we don’t always slow our pace down long enough to enjoy the simplicity and tranquility of our natural surroundings.

What better place to unwind then in the natural setting of your own backyard. By creating a sacred space where you can retreat and relax, your body is in a better position to rejuvenate and heal. Creating a healing garden will help soothe your soul, helping you to feel refreshed and renewed again. A garden with all of its beauty and tranquility allows you to feel the serenity that your soul desires

Throughout history, gardens have been useful in the healing process. Hospitals and medical care facilities are realizing the importance of a patient’s surroundings and the healing effect that it has with how fast a patient recovers. .

As natural therapies are beginning to emerge in the health care industry, we are seeing a resurgence of using nature to heal.

How can you make your backyard a sanctuary to retreat, relax and renew? You can tailor a special space to your own needs with splashes of color and accents that allow for a meditative garden or Zen garden, a butterfly garden or an herb garden.

To enjoy the symphony of sounds from our fine feathered friends, use plantings, bird baths and feeders to attract wild birds to your backyard. Nectar and host plants are needed to attract butterflies to your garden. Hummingbirds are attracted to splashes of red.

Experiment with day lilies, lantana or hibiscus plants. Hang wind chimes to enjoy their gentle tones, add water elements or a winding brick path leading up to an inviting hammock. Whimsical planters or unique urns can be strategically placed as focal points.

Your healing garden can serve a double purpose as it provides beauty and the plants can be used to help heal the body on a physical level.

Some herbs can be used as culinary as well as medicinal, such as peppermint, rosemary, thyme, sage or parsley. Plants such as lavender are conducive to relaxation. Cool colors such as hues of blue, violets and shades of green provide healing.

Aromatic plants such as Angelica could be planted to engage more of the senses.

Outdoor living spaces allow us to extend our homes for entertaining and casual living in natural surrounds.

Get a cup of tea and a good book, light some candles, and enjoy your garden and patio!

Garden décor as well as accents for your outdoor living spaces can be found at the site listed below.

Cellular Memory - The Impact of Your Thoughts

August 6th, 2008

Everything that has ever happened in our lives affects our bodies. Stress and emotions such as fear, distrust and anger cause us to become out of balance. When we are out of balance illness and disease may occur.
You are what you say, think and feel. Are there ideas or attitudes that you have that have made a difference in your life? Can you pinpoint what they are? What you say and think may affect you more than you realize. We create our reality with our words and thoughts…

Throughout our lifetime, our body has kept a perfect copy of our every word, thought, and emotion. These have been stored as cellular memory. As a result, we have become what we say, think, and feel. Whenever we have negative thoughts or feelings, these become lodged in our subconscious mind/body. As a result, this becomes a challenge to change or eliminate, as we may not be aware that they are there. Over time these memories develop into blockages of energy. Blocked energy, disharmonious or congested energy is usually connected with emotional trauma, illness, disease or injury.

Humans and other living organisms emit measurable electromagnetic energy fields. These energy fields that surround our bodies are influenced by many activities and experiences of all kinds. This includes meditation, music that we listen to, personal trauma, and illness and disease. Be careful what you say and think. If you are going to create something, you might as well create something positive. In medical research, it is well known that intention has a powerful healing effect. Consider placebos, which are sugar pills given in place of drugs. But if that person thinks it is a drug that will help them, then it will.

We create what we focus on. How often during the day are you focused on what you REALLY WANT? Is it even 10% of the time? This is important, as we are always creating more of whatever we’re focused on. This can be hard as we discuss problems in our lives; we actually BRING MORE of it into our lives. Our thoughts are setting our intentions in very subtle ways and our subconscious follows our directions

Have you ever said to yourself:
As soon as I finish this, I’m going to crash and burn?
This is a pain in the neck
This job is killing me
No pain, no gain
I never have any money
I’ll never get good grades
I’m breaking my back to do this

Do you realize no matter what you say, you’re giving your subconscious a message? These messages are all negative and the body is going to carry out your instructions. So when you say these things repeatedly, the body gets the idea that the back should be broken, you should have a pain in your neck, etc. It will ensure that you never have any money and never get good grades. Is this what you really want? If not, stop saying these things, even if you’re only joking. The negative thoughts and feelings that are lodged in the unconscious mind/body are the greatest problem as we are not aware of them and therefore, we are greatly hampered in changing or eliminating them.

A study was done which had participants concentrate on appreciation and love for 5 minutes. The results showed that this helped a component of the immune system for 1-6 hours. Conversely, being angry for 5 minutes caused heart irregularities for several hours.

You can change the limitations imposed upon you by negative programming and a restrictive belief system. A negative mental state is a breeding ground for disease. Illness develops as energy is lost in specific areas of the body. These can be caused by negative emotions such as anger or fear. In addition, old psychological wounds that have caused pain in the past can be used as an excuse not to heal.

Thoughts are real. Words send out a very powerful message-much more powerful that is usually understood. We continually send out messages to those around us and to ourselves-to our conscious and unconscious mind. When negative thoughts disturb you, you must use words to change their negative effect. One way is to say out loud or to yourself, “Cancel, Cancel”. This has the effect of erasing from your subconscious the previous negative words or thoughts. If you use this technique conscientiously, you can rid yourself of some of the most subtle forms of negativity. It will also make your more aware of what you are saying. Neutralize it with a positive imagery. Think of something positive to take it’s place.

In order to create what you want in your life, it is important to be consciously aware of what you are feeling and thinking all of the time. It is a challenge to become aware of our emotions and how they affect us, but it can also be very rewarding beyond what we can imagine.

The mental body must be healed as well as the physical body to regain harmony and be freed from disease. The effect of negative thought patterns can be reversed and the negative programming itself can be replaced with positive programming, which will nourish you and provide the structure for good health and happiness. Once you transcend negativity, you will come back into balance and the healing energy will flow. You are far more than you think. Whatever your limitations, they are self-imposed. There is extraordinary potential and healing power in all of us that lies dormant within us.

One way to regulate our thoughts is through meditation. Meditation is the discipline of “Thought Control”. Control your thoughts and you will control your life. It’s that simple. God gave us free will. Therefore, we can choose to crate a satisfying life or we can choose to create a dissatisfying life. The choice is always our own.

Affirmations are another good way to change negative thought patterns into positive ones. As we become more positive in our thinking, we heal, allowing more room for love, peace, joy and abundance in our lives.

Some examples of affirmations are: I am grateful for wonderful relationships in my life, I am grateful for prosperous opportunities that are open to me; I enjoy my good health and happiness. Any thought or attitude you hold in fear, stops the flow of love in your life.

When we use the term I AM, such as I AM willing, we are surrendering the fears and limited thoughts to be transformed. When we are willing to change our attitudes, we enter a state of surrender. In the state of surrender, all things are possible. This then is the state in which miracles can occur.

GOOD AFFIRMATIONS TO USE EVERY DAY:
Everyday and in every way, I’m getting better and better. I am healthy, I am happy, I am whole. I am the master of my fate; I am the master of my life. I can do all things through God who strengthens me. I am willing to make a difference in this world.

Healing is always accomplished in the present, in the now. Thus all your affirmations must be asserted in the present tense if they are to have any effect. You should never say, “I will be healed. This says that you will be healed in the future-you want to be healed NOW, in the present. Instead, say, “ I AM healed”.

Practice gratitude whenever you are feeling overwhelmed. As bad as things can get, there is always something to be grateful for: a beautiful day, a rainbow, wonderful people in our lives.

Energy work, such as Healing Touch, Reiki, Integrated Energy Therapy, or breath work deals directly with the unconscious parts of the mind/body that contain negative energy inhibiting thoughts and feelings and helps to eliminate them. In particular, Integrated Energy Therapy works with getting the “issues out of the tissues”. This type of energy works with nine primary cellular memory areas of the body to provide powerful clearing of suppressed cellular memories and emotions. Energy work can be used as a complimentary therapy with other alternative, or traditional therapies. After an energy session, a normal flow of energy helps to eliminate these suppressed memories with ease as the person is restored to a balanced state.

It’s time to focus on what you really want. This is why “whatever you resist, persists” and “you attract what you fear” When you resist or fear something, you’re focused on it. So, it’s a lot more fun to be focused on what you really want. What exactly is that? Is it joy, peace, love, more money, better grades in school?
Are you prepared for the future you are creating now? What have your thoughts been lately?
