Non-locality healing, also known as distance healing, remote healing and absent healing have been practiced in the Far East for centuries.  In more modern times many modalities of distant healing are being recognized and practiced in the West.  These distance healing practices are being clinically studied in places such as California Pacific Medical Center.  Recent studies were funded by the Institute of Noetic Sciences.

There has been a scientific study that has validated the positive effects of distant healing through the use of prayer.  A strict double blind study on almost 400 patients by cardiologist Robert Bryd determined that people who were prayed for had better outcomes than those who were not.  See more on this long distance healing study at the end of this page.

The field of Quantum Physics may provide some answers why remote healing works.  Michael Talbot writes in “Holographic Universe”, “In 1982 a remarkable event took place. At the University of Paris a research team led by physicist Alain Aspect performed what may turn out to be one of the most important experiments of the 20th century.”

“Aspect and his team discovered that under certain circumstances subatomic particles such as electrons are able to instantaneously communicate with each other regardless of the distance separating them. It doesn’t matter whether they are 10 feet or 10 billion miles apart.”

In 1997 Nicolas Gisan duplicated these findings and concluded that some particles appeared to be communicating at the mind boggling speed of 20,000 times the speed of light.

Talbot’s book can give us more clues why remote healing works.  Talbot writes this about David Bohm, a well known physicist, “This insight suggested to Bohm another way of understanding Aspect’s discovery.

Bohm believes the reason subatomic particles are able to remain in contact with one another regardless of the distance separating them is not because they are sending some sort of mysterious signal back and forth, but because their separateness is an illusion. He argues that at some deeper level of reality such particles are not individual entities, but are actually extensions of the same fundamental something.”

“If the apparent separateness of subatomic particles is illusory, it means that at a deeper level of reality all things in the universe are infinitely interconnected.”

Some scientists are now recognizing what mystics from many traditions have said for millennium that we are all connected and that we are not separate.

Energy is being transmitted all the time very quickly via television and radio signals and picked up by a receiver. Remote healing energy can get transferred over long distances because we are all connected.

Cardiologist Randolph Byrd conducted a rigidly designed randomized, double blind experiment in 1988 to determine the effects of prayer on patients in the Coronary Care Unit at San Francisco General Hospital over a ten month period. A computer made the random assignments of which of the 383 newly admitted patients involved in this study would be prayed for, and which would not.

The statistically significant findings of this study were that prayed-for patients were five times less likely to require antibiotics, three times less likely to develop pulmonary edema… and none of the prayed-for patients required endotracheal intubation (in which a tube is placed in the patient’s throat) whereas twelve of the non-prayed-for patients required this procedure.

This clearly shows the power of energetic intent and how everything is affected through vibrational energy.
